Philosophy

The Whole Person Approach

We as humans are complex beings with interconnected physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects and needs. I believe by promoting balance and integration across all dimensions of a person’s life, the life that you truly want can be discovered and achieved.

By adopting a client-centered approach, I believe you, the client, are the expert of your own life. My job is to empower you to explore your own personal goals, values, and priorities. The space you enter working with me is non-judgmental, as we are all unique individuals with our own set of life circumstances to work with. It is a space for you to express yourself and take an active role in your own well-being.

I also realize that lasting change comes from adopting sustainable habits and making gradual, realistic adjustments. Together, we will work to identify and understand current behaviors, explore underlying motivations, and then develop strategies to implement positive changes. All the while emphasizing the importance of consistency, self-compassion, and fantastic celebrations of progress along the way.

Finally, I believe trust is essential in the coaching relationship. By being honest and direct, I aim to build a strong foundation of trust with my clients. I have a no-nonsense approach to coaching but have deep empathy towards my clients’ feelings, perspectives and unique life circumstances.

FAQs

What kinds of things can you help me with?

I can help you find your best self, both physically and mentally. I can assist with realistic goal setting (whether it involves weight management, stress reduction, fitness, nutrition, or other areas of well-being), lifestyle modifications, accountability and motivation, personal guidance and behavior change.

What do I bring to my appointment?

Most of the initial Comprehensive Wellness Consultation information will be gathered through the pre-meeting questionnaire. We’ll discuss your medical history, current medications and supplements, lifestyle habits, allergies and sensitivities, and family medical history. It will be important to come with goals in mind. Whether you’re looking to manage stress, improve nutrition, or enhance your overall well-being, sharing your goals will help us understand your aspirations and allow us to help you get to where you want to be.

And if you’re just not there yet, we will most definitely get you there.

I already have quite a bit of knowledge about health and wellness. Why would I need you?

Sometimes an outside source can offer you a new perspective and come up with new strategies to achieve your desired results. A coach can also set up a plan and offer accountability that might not otherwise be available.

How many sessions will I need?

That will be completely up to you. Your personal needs can vary depending on several factors, including your goals, current health status, and individual preferences.

Your initial Comprehensive Consultation will help us to determine your goals and develop a plan. From there, the frequency and duration of sessions can be determined based on your needs and progress. Some individuals may benefit from regular weekly or biweekly sessions, while others may find monthly or quarterly check-ins sufficient.

It’s important to keep in mind health and wellness coaching is a process that unfolds over time. It often takes multiple sessions to establish new habits, make sustainable behavior changes, and achieve long-term goals. Coaching sessions provide ongoing support, guidance, and accountability to help you navigate challenges and stay on track.

Are results guaranteed?

Unfortunately, that is mostly out of my hands. Living a healthier life is not a simple task and it will take work and dedication on your part. While I can structure your journey and guide you through it, the results you see will be a reflection of the effort and commitment you put into the process.

Will you suggest I use supplements?

That will be completely up to you. Many issues can be resolved through small habit changes involving diet and how you spend your time. In an ideal world, this would be the only way. Alas, life is difficult and sometimes we need a little nudge. So if you choose to go in that direction, you can either purchase from a location of your choice, or I will be able to get you what you need through FullScript (they have strict quality standards that make me feel better about the quality of the things I put into my body).
